Sue Thanks Jennifer. I never heard of AS until I read Ian's story. He certainly makes the other books interesting. I especially like the way he connects with Hart. And I love his relationship with Beth and his children. Please keep writing Mackenzie books so we your readers can keep up with all of them

Jean I love Ian. My son is on the spectrum and I can see aspects of him in Ian.

Linda Ian has always been my favorite. There is just that special something that draws you to him.

Rebecca One of my all-time favorite books!

Paula I have two kiddos on the spectrum and my spider sense went off at the fascination/complete focus with the forming ink droplet. "Autistic much?" I thought. I am only part of the way through Chapter 3 and my arm chair diagnosis was high functioning autism.

Teal Veyre I find the use of the word "heartbreaking" to refer to autism incredibly insulting and problematic.
Like...people with autism are people. Love your books, Jennifer, but I think you need to get off the savior complex with this. It's cringey and upsetting.
Autistic people don't exist for you to pat yourself on the back and inspiration porn over.

If anyone asks an ignorant question like this again, maybe just say "Because autistic people exist, so I wrote one."
