Oh I am horrible. All this time, I thought it was pronounced like 'Roar-den'. (crawls under desk in shame)
I used to booktalk library books to middle school classes. The first time I was preparing to promo your books, I found your pronunciation guide on your website. RYEr to rhyme with Fire! I think about that every time I have to say it, and it's worked lo these many (15!) years.
Ri-or-dan XD Hopefully I didn't mispronounce anything else....
Ri-or-dan is how everyone in my family says it.
That's a hilarious anecdote 🤣 Well, we mispronounce all the names of Greek deities so you're in good company. Well, maybe not good good. But they *are* gods, at least.
