Thanks so much for answering! I must admit the Ayn Rand angle is a bit of a surprise; I'm far more used to people espousing vitriol towards her work because of a fundamental disagreement with her philosophical content.
Yeah Ayn Rand is known for the whole "Objectivism" movement, put it's her characters and ability to paint with words (and create a really vivid image in my head) that gets overshadowed by the politics.
