Yes it does. I suck my teeth every time I see onscreen or encounter in pop fiction ( James Patterson holla if ya hear me?!) a Black male hero who is a cop or Black female was intelligence that is surprise: a lawyer or a doctor. Not so many if the latter an “Indian” Chief would be a departure. Not saying the archetypical can’t work: Tananarive Due makes this work in the African Immortals series...
