And re: Laureen Hart, YES, very much same. The sacred vulva/side-wound-as-bleeding-vulva belief produced some truly unforgettable art (and hymns!).
I don’t really see anything about equality of sexes or sacred vulvas in the Wikipedia entry for the Moravian church?

Very interesting! So many religions seem unbalanced in how they deal with sex.
I do like the term "sacred vulva" :)
