I'm one of your monster readers—I read the book 3 times. But I think you are right—I definitely read into it. Perhaps because so many of the political elite at the time were Ivy League graduates, and I was looking at the 1930's from a 2015 perspective. Thanks for clearing that up. I'm going to have to dive into it again... And by the way—LOVING "Dead Wake." I have my Advanced Expository Writing class reading it now.
