Socrates was, I humbly believe, the Father of all of Western Civilization. I too would love to dine with him.
JIm, You share my thoughts. However, I would ask Socrates about love and what altered his opinions about "love" as he grew older.
Shakespeare - I would ask the same question - many of his works were written in Italy. On the humorous side, perhaps The Arch Angels may have visited him
Mary Ann Evans - being a woman writing today - and having read her works in High School - I would probably just gawk at her and loose my tongue and when I recover, I would tell he how much I admire her.!! .
