I just saw this now! If you get the same page I do when I go to edit an author who doesn't control their information, such as a classic author and scroll down the page you'll see where you can add your bio (even cut and paste the one you already have) and a couple of boxes down from the bio one is the one for your official website where you can just cut and paste the address to your homepage instead of the current one. :)
