Pierre-Alexandre Sicart It is beautiful. Wearable art indeed. And I found the essay, thanks to your naming the artist. We should both have known where to find the answer! I think this website will be familiar to you:

Which brings another, obvious question to mind: Does the inclusion of the Howard Lovecraft pin make your necklace cursed?

Lois Bujold P-A asks, "Does the inclusion of the Howard Lovecraft pin make your necklace cursed?"

:-)... Not as I've observed so far. I will say, the Lovecraft bust sculpture of which the pin is a mini-me, designed iirc by Gahan Wilson, comes in ahead as the ugliest genre award trophy ever. I'm rather glad I didn't win one.

Ta, L.

Pierre-Alexandre Sicart I rather like the old trophy actually. It's cute. Unlike the eldritch horror on the left:

Here's what the trophy looks like since 2016:

Diana The illustrated answer to this question was in a blog post linked in a question LMB answered here: https://www.goodreads.com/questions/1...

For future reference, my usual method for searching in corners of the internet that lack a search function is to type search terms into google along with site:[URL of folder to search within]. For example, this time I tried "necklace bujold site:https://www.goodreads.com/questions/" without the quotation marks. The results displayed a bit of text showing the question had been asked and answered before — but led me to the wrong page when I clicked through. I found the link above a harder (but not the hardest!) way.

Diana Hmm, it turns out the blog post linked within the page I just linked is about the Hugo award itself! My mistake; Sicart's [dot]ified link is the correct one.
