Lara Miller I do love them a lot! I unwisely stopped in the middle of Demon Daughter and went to bed, and my dreams worked on the problems Pen and Des were facing all night, heh.

Interesting to hear that you don’t get writing ideas from dreams! Long ago in college I took a dream journal/poetry class. We were supposed to write down our dreams and then turn them into poems. I found that the more I focused on remembering my dreams, the longer my journal got until it was threatening to make me late to class every morning! Not that a whole lot of it was writing-applicable, but at least I had a lot to choose from.

Marti Dolata Lara Miller - was that "Life as a Poet" taught at UC Santa Cruz? Altho considered an easy high grade by many, it is one of the few classes I still remember vividly after 50 years!

Marti Dolata Or was it "Birth of a Poet"? 50 years ago, heh.

Lara Miller No, this was at UT Knoxville, about 25 years ago, and the name of the class was something like Dream Poetry, maybe? But it did turn out to be one of my most memorable classes!
