Thank you so much Connie. Every time you mention these in any of your books I get a craving. My recipe isn't very good. I see a big difference is that you use old fashioned oats. I'll try these this weekend. :-)
Thank you :) I agree on the raisins. We use chocolate chips instead and everyone loves them. Tried something different the last time I made them, used half veg shortening and half coconut oil. Came out very good. Just make sure to use cold pressed coconut oil
My daughter is gluten free so I decided to make this recipe gluten free.
The Great Value Gluten Free All Purpose flour works pretty good for this recipe. The dough really flattens and spreads dropping with a tablespoon. Using a teaspoon did better. They're chewy in the center.
