I love that you put in a reference to Fast Car by Tracy Chapman. I fondly remember you playing that song (or was it another song from that album?) for us in Creative Writing class and talking about the poetry of the lyrics.
Hi, Trevor. It's an awesome song. It shouldn't seem odd, but a lot of people are surprised by it, that much of what goes into a book comes from what the author likes and thinks about.
