Congratulations, Brian, for your book release party!!! I bought "Everyone Dies In The End" right after I posted my question. You are very gifted. I know your mom is proud of your accomplishments!!!!! As a mother, myself, I know in my heart my daughter turned out very well, and chose to go to tech school to become a mechanic (5'2"). I doted on her in my mind yesterday when she was under her Durango, fixing her suspension. She gets mad if I compliment her....so it stays inside until a good time to tell her. So, she is the light of my life; and that makes my Mother's Day special. Your Mom surely must feel the same for you. I love the library, too. As a child, it was a magical place (I think it still may be so ;-)
The library always will be a magic place...I'm a school librarian in 'real life.' Sounds like you raised your daughter right. Does she make house calls? The brakes on my on my 98 Ranger are shot. And thanks for buying my unloved third child.
She loves brakes!!!!! She had to take her front left one off and the drive shaft to replace the wheel bearing this week. She inested $6,000in tools for school. Then tons more from Sears, expensive investment. She had her heart set on becoming a pilot. Just before her solo at flight school, she had to pass a medical exam, physical. $112, class 2. She never returned. She said she was getting severe anxieties (a no no for any pilot). She was going to go to a 4 year college for an aviation instructor degree. Now, at the very same time she wanted to fly (5 years old), she said she wanted to learn to fix cars so she could fix her own. I had 2 Buicks on their last legs, and she is very opinionated. But, that was her true passion and calling in life and I coudn't be happier. She finished her first year today....all while working full time at that "W" mart ($2 less than boys in her class, and they quit immediately). I LOVE LOVE LOVE your book about Zak (a.k.a. Duke) and Ana!!!!! There is so much humor in it. Stuff that no one else woud write. It is so fresh and absolutely hilarious. I managed to get to page 55 today. My cats get so jealous when I "attempt" to read. It's like your kids act up when you are on an important phone call. I JUST WANT TO READ! NO ONE EVER LETS ME READ! (now think of the Geiko creature when he screams I HAVE A FLAT TIAAAHHH). Hee, hee! I want to finish and give my review before your book launch is over. ;-)
