TDDS was so good and The Ursulina did not disappoint either. Absolutely suggest reading them in publication order though :) I don't think they'd hit the same if read in "chronological" order.
Yes, the publisher advertises The Ursulina as a "prequel" to The Deep, Deep Snow, but I always tell readers to read The Deep, Deep Snow first. They'll get the full emotional richness of The Ursulina that way.
