I'm really sorry to hear about your dad. My mom had to go into assisted living a number of years ago because of dementia, it did not go well, :( I hope your dad finds some friends and starts fitting in better. I have a labrador that likes to sleep on my feet while i'm writing software. it's a highlight of my days. :)
