are we going to endure the (inacurrate and contradicted by every facts we know) terrible relationship you wrote between Henry & ELizabeth? the rape or the insult or the distrust, when by all account they had a loving and supportive marriage? people wants a good relationship on screen, and not incest or rape. please, do not ruin Henry VII. I know you hate him, but do not destroy one of the undeniable great things in his life: his devotion and love for his wife, despite being a political marriage at first.
You obviously haven't watched Tudors or Borgias if you say people want just good relationships on screen. Those series worked just fine and they were historical fictional dramas, not documentaries. Also, an eye for an eye. Henry contributed a lot to the distruction of Richard III's image and reputation, starting from the gross handling of his corpse. Let him have a taste of his own medicine for once.
Please don't let this happen! I was so disgusted with your portrayal of Henry. He was kind and respectful and faithful to his wife. Just bc you personally hate him because he married Elizabeth and not her Uncle, does not mean you need to make things up about him. Disgusting and I will never buy another of your books bc of this.

Agreed. I hope Bess will be portrayed with a bit more agency, though.
Not sure why people have to be so mean and make ugly comments like the ones above. If I was a writer, I would chose to write about what I want and how I want. If Ms. Gregory decided to write the way she did, it is her freedom to do so. She is the writer, not you. When you decide to write a book, you can decide how to portray anyone or anything. People need to relax and stop being so ugly.
