The feel of ancient Rome, yes...just don't believe the whole story line of the series :-)
Yes, I'm talking about the "feeling" of what life in ancient rome was. The show is very accurate (look at the clothes for example etc.)
Don't get me wrong,I love the series...despite the historical poetic license...prime example is Atia...she played a very minor role in history...but I love her character in the series anyway... :-)
Yes, they definitely played fast and loose with some of the facts. But I'm willing to forgive that because the feel and immersion is so good. They got the MINDSET right, which is what I want in a historical show more than the strict timeline.
exactly...after all what is historical fiction without some fiction? :-)
