Pethics This whole time I imagined Mma Ramotswe's van as the American version. I may have to re-read the books with a new perspective now.

Doog Reader Respect to the BBC. They took some liberties but they got the car right. The little white van is important and dear to us. I personally love the littleness aspect. Many car models are getting too big lately.

I'm Australian and in my mind it's been oscillating between a ute and a combi type van for years. I'll now be able to envisage the new blue van/ute clearly.

Catherine McMahon As an Australian I had no idea it was similar to our utes. I was picturing a little van like an old Toyota Hi-ace with a bench seat in the front and storage space in the back.
