Linda Baker I have been busier since "retirement" than ever before. The best part is that I get to be busy with things I love to do!

David Hi there. I'm Main Character. This is the story about a particularly dull part of my life in which not much happened. I was sort of between adventures, you see, and this is what us heroes do on our off hours....

David The story would be full of oblique references to past adventures. One of Main Character's older friends is Retired Hero, from whom many nostalgic reminisces emerge. Another round of beers, if you please, Miss Waitress! All this talk of action makes us thirsty!

David The manner in which future Adventures is apportioned among the heroes, Main Character and his friends, is revealed toward the end: how the "jobs" become available, where the auditions are being held, the terms of the contracts (the hero's pay is contingent upon killing the Main Villain and on completing the Main Quest). The main term of most of the contracts is: Don't talk about the contract to anybody.

Eleanor With Cats I really enjoyed Penric's Demon btw. The demon is hilarious, as is Penric when he begins to come into his own and let himself out more.
