I love T H White! But talking about really great authors, have you read any of Amy (was Agnes-Mary) Brooke's great imaginative fiction for young adults, etc? Her award-placed "The Mora Stone" has been listed as one of the top five historical fantasies, and her "Who will speak for the Dreamer?" trilogy has been commented on as simply wonderful by the prominent Australian author, Kerry Greenwood (of Miss Phryne Fisher fame. She's been named as New Zealand's best children's writer and her website can be found at wee.amybrooke.co.nz .(She also has a new Facebook page) A pity she's not more widely known, but I understand NZ's pretty PC, and she won't write to PC requirements. Her stories are terrific...
