Hehehe Bathurst with a local would be awesome. We've not ventured into country NSW too often. Tend to stick to the lovely coasts (places that are one-day drives from our house north of Brisbane). We did Coffs twice last year, so pretty.
Country NSW is definitely different. No beaches anywhere near us haha, lots of sparse land. But the coasts of both NSW and QLD are beautiful.
