Thanks so much for this advice Liz! I've taken to this technique and it's really helped my writing. When I can feel that my story is not ready to flow out of my hands I just sit down at my desk and begin writing whatever I can in that moment. It can be something as simple about how there's a guy sitting at his desk, staring out his window, waiting for inspiration to greet him so he can begin writing; and then voila, within minutes (sometimes several) I've jumped into writing my story without even realizing it.
