Excellent perspective on this. Thank you, Alan.
hahaah oh... that last bit got me giggling wildly, i don't think my 14yr old will ever master an english accent of any sort, that would be my 18yr old and he is more like the doctor being very dashing...a bit of a mad hatter as well..
your many words..were a pleasant surprise and a lovely view into the man behind the stories... i like learning who a person is but you can keep the beard, it looks better on you than me ;)
my son is complicated, precocious and feels that most of his peers are idiots (to be fair many are and both sexes acting like barbie dolls doesn't help them be desirable to him for friends or romantic attractions)
you are right in that he hides who he is, a sort of protection but he and my 18yr old have never been normal children, as they get older they learn to play more but still act far too much like adults... gaslighting from my ex husband is a part of that but their natural personality is also very intense... like a good curry!
a good curry can be lovely to behold, warm in the bowl, seemingly innocent and way too intense for most people to handle (never to be enjoyed before flying haha)
it fits my boys, i am more of a (sapiosexual) pirate wench
thank you so much for taking the time to reply, it means a lot
