I'm glad we're going to get a print edition, yay!
If you have a smartphone, get the free Kindle app and read it that way. Would have preferred a Kobo edition myself, but the phone wasn't too bad an option - definitely better than the laptop.
If you buy the Kindle edition from amazon you can use the Calibre ebook management program to convert it to Kobo format and install it on your device
Converting may not be legal; in Canada, breaking a DRM lock is against the law. Do Kindle titles have DRM locks?
Any Kindle book can be read on a tablet (like an iPad). In fact I am gradually buying replacements or duplicates for my 20,000+ hardcover and paperback collection as Kindle books (I have all LMB's books for instance). About 1000 books so far. Reading on a tablet has become my preferred method of reading. (I can also pull up any book I have in ebook format on my iPhone at any time and place that I get a few minutes to read.)
This is especially good for travel; I used to pack an extra suitcase with nothing but books when I traveled. (I read at about 3000 wpm -2 or 3 books per day.) Now I just take the iPad.
