Angela Isn't Anita's real career working at Animators, Inc, not the police? What happened to her day job?

Gaile I love hove the characters have grown also.

Lisa Saurs @angela - now that she is a federal marshall, it seems like her police work has taken a front seat. The last two books highlighted that pretty well.

Jessie Thank you for this answer!! It explains so much. I started the series because the character of Anita Blake was a kick-butt necromancer who worked at Animator's Inc and hunted criminal vampires. (Mystery, Crime, Fantasy)

Although I wish if you had grown weary of the premise for the series, you would have just wrapped it up and started something new. The change mid-series from a mystery/crime/fantasy novel to a paranormal romance was pretty dramatic.

Jessica Shadden Anita has explained a few times how she has to use her necromancy often, or if finds its own way out. So even though in most books she's fighting crime, I think maybe it's supposed to be understood that she's also raising the dead in the "between" times. Laurell just chooses not to tell us about all the *mundane zombies*. If that makes any sense? LOL! My words just don't flow out as easily as hers!
