Just reading this makes me tear up again.....I loved loved loved Jake N Adrien.......

I call it the key scene....oh my heart

"Fucking worship you" is in Dark Tide, and that is my favorite as well. All of Death of a Pirate King is astoundingly well-written. I may know these two books better than you do (this is too embarrassing!)

One of my all time favorite line of yours was from 'Sort of Stranger than Fiction': “I liked you the first time I saw you. You were sitting on the floor surrounded by books, and you looked up when I opened the door and smiled right at me. It felt like you had been waiting for me, like you were welcoming me home.”

I like that too.

The word "worship" from Jake's mouth did me in *sigh*... It implies devotion and something like veneration. An even more powerful statement as it is from a character whose POV was not included in the narration.
And I loved the other quote from Death of a Pirate King too. ♡

Yes, for sure it's a not a word he would readily or lightly use :-)
