Aprilleigh It's more common in Europe, but other than two British transplants I've never run into it here in the US. Thank you for the series recommendation. I will check it out at the local library.

Snail Turner's The Thief is one of my favorite books of my childhood! How cool to see her mentioned here, by one of my favorite authors of later years, no less.

B Warne Galen was also the name of a TechoMage in the Babylon 5 spin off "Crusade". He is a spectacular character.

Susan I went to high school nearly 60 years ago with a boy named Galen - in a very small town in South Dakota! As mentioned above, there was the Greek physician Galen in ancient times. (And no, my Galen's parents were not Greek!) The name has been around for centuries and in many parts of the world.
