I am intrigued by the connection between Newfoundlanders and Brooklyn. I read quite a few library books about Brooklyn as a child/youth (eg., of course, :A Tree Grows In Brooklyn:) I look forward to reading your book next and maybe do a jaunt back into some of the books I read 55-60 years ago. hehe.
Oh, I hope you enjoy the book. At one time about 75,000 (estimated) first and second-generation Newfoundlanders lied in Brooklyn, including many people in my mother's family. I love Brooklyn though I haven't been able to spend as much time there as I would have liked.
