Well said, Mr. Wexler. I have recently read your book How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying and found it a deliriously wonderful send-up of the Chosen One trope. After a while, I didn't think of Davi as a Strong Female Character, but an exasperated, aggravated person trying to figure out a way from and through this head-scratching crisis in which she found herself. Yes, there were awful moments specifically tied to her being a female (I'm certain Conan the Barbarian never had to worry about being raped). But, all in all, her difficulties stemmed from the hostile, unfamiliar environments and natives she encountered on her journey. Her being female was largely incidental in such moments. So thank you for this book. I hope to get my hands on the sequel very soon.

Although, I think that as a Dude, maybe there are some conflicts that women face that men don't necessarily have to make, such as uncomfortable flirts.
The accusation of a character being just a "guy with boobs" is thrown around too quickly sometimes, but at other times, it is definitely warranted.
That's why I like Winter so much. She has problems because she is a woman, heck, her character concept relies on that struggle. Her femininity is not just attached after the fact.
... In retrospect, I'd say I really should have thought before asking that question. *cough*
Thank you so much, though! It might not read like it, but your answer has helped me a lot.
