Shades of Grey is on the reading competition list at our high school for the fall. My students are going to love it! I certainly did.
It's one of my favorite books, and I'm looking forward to a sequel. Of course, I would love to see a third book in the nursery crimes as well.
Jasper! I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL 2019. THE WORLD MIGHT END. GIVE ME THE SEQUEL/PREQUEL. Also I love your work and have two copies of Shades of Grey (signed and unsigned). I belong to the cult of people who the book really spoke to. Thank you for immersing me in that world.

I'd love to see this. In all honesty, having read all of your books so far, I keep coming back to your goodreads page in hopes of seeing an ETA on the next 'Shades of Grey' book. I can't wait to see it if it comes to pass, and I really hope it will. :)

Shades of Grey is my favorite of all of your books; although I love them all. I read it right away when it came out in the US (2009). A few years ago I got my Book Club to read it. Most of them really enjoyed it. I would really love a sequel just like everyone else.
Ahh! I wish the theoretical people who are throwing this book away would just give their copies to me. I could adopt them out easily. #givemealltheabsurd

I do so hope that the Shades of Grey sequel is still on the ever-nearing horizon. I love and adore Thursday Next and her companions, but the world of Shades of Grey felt truly original and wonderful and I desperately want more of it!
When I found Shades of Grey in 2010 I ran into bookseller and ask him if there was the Italian version. He answered me it was a new release, so we have to wait. I bought it then. And can't understand a word. So I improved my English and years later, with the aid of an audiobook, I managed to read it. Eventually. It was AWESOME.
Then I discovered it was sheduled a sequel aaaand. It not.
Then I saw Shades of grey became the best bestseller evah and thought "WOOOOW! Now it would have a sequel" and then it was 50 shades of grey. Oh come on. Humanity is the most abominable species on Earth. We choose the wrong Shades!
aaaand. Still waiting.
