Grimread Yes, it's a thing I'm dreaming of since I first had to scavenge through all the extras and snippets. It's really hard to keep track of everything from every paring.
I personally am most fond of Some kind of magic and would love to read more of it. I remember I was wondering after reading Little Wolf when Ray was mentioned what if Cal answered the phone when Tom called. Then my mind went on: If Ray is avoiding Wolf's paw, Cal would be intrigued to see it. Maybe Ray is hiding something "embarrassingly cute" part of his past there. So when Ray and Cal have some "vacation time", Cal scampers off to Wolf's paw ahead of Ray, who refuses to go, but not telling him where he is just leaving a fetch me kind of message. I would totally like to see Ray hunt for his love prey. And it would be interesting to see Tom's reaction on finding out that the fairy that just came literally strolling into town is Ray's mate. Can you write something like this please? it not that I want characters to meet it's just that I want more of Ray Ray and Callalily.
Then bundle everything in one book an publish it :P

Steph lol @Grim. That would be awesome. I'd love to read something like that, too. Of course, I've already exposed my brand of crazy to R. on how frequently I re-read her stories. :)

I've seen an anthology of shorts stories from another fantasy author, and by shorts I mean as few as 5 pages, and I think the longest was maybe 15 pages. Having them together, I would definitely snatch it up at the first opportunity. I'm not much of an internet grazer...too lazy? Or maybe I spend all day in front of my computer and am happy to leave it off in the evening? Yeah, that sounds better. ;-)

R. @Grim. I uh, should tell you that in the original round of notes for Little Wolf, we not only glimpsed Ray in the beginning, but Tim was going to run back to Los Cerros, and Ray, at the end. And maybe once there, encounter the mate he hadn't known Ray had. But then I looked at the length of the thing, and I was like oh my god no, we can't do that.
What I can also tell you is that, although I am not currently writing them, no, I am not done with Ray and Cal, and connections to them show up in the oddest places. :)

R. @Steph. It all sounds so good. But honestly I'm not sure how I would ever pitch that to Dreamspinner. I'm at sort of a midlevel sales range (to very low, when I do the oddball stuff like Wicklow or Winter Prince). So I don't think they'd want to bother with something with such a niche audience. But oh, it's so NICE to think about....

Grimread @R. Thank god you didn't. It fits this way much better and I'm happy to hear Ray anc Cal have not been forgotten. But I probably liked their story best because the way it was told. From their perspective. Ray's personality is so precious. And the way you portrayed the werewolfs through him was something that felt real and plausible even in our reality. I've tried to many other authors' werewolf stories and got disappointed. And I do confess I tried listening to the audiobook of this but the narration is too awfull. i wish the same guy would read it as the one for A boy and his dragon. That was marvelous. Might there be any more casual meetings with them too? I like dragon-shifter stories but it's hard to find good ones.

R. I can neither confirm nor deny any future appearances from that particular boy and that particular dragon. However, although not in the immediate future, we will start to see our Los Cerros favorites again. And some people close to them we haven't met yet. (Also, about Ray. Ray is absolutely on guard whenever out in public. He is big, and scary looking. He is aware that he can never misbehave in public. His senses are picking up every single detail, which is stressful. He has worked hard, and he is ferocious and wouldn't deny it. That is his city, and he is protecting it. But oh my what a sweet, loving doll he really is. How eager he has been to find someone he can trust with his softness. How secretly hopeful he was to have someone he could devote himself to. And then Cal came along. Ray has problems expressing all of that in words, but eventually, Cal should get to see exactly what he means to Ray.)

Grimread Yes and that is why I like Ray the best.
