Ayman Teaman The ultimate decision is yours; anyone else spouting anything else is merely being selfish (completely understandable from a fan PoV, and OP, I am not talking about you, as you are totally respectful in your question which I highly admire).

Authors spend hundreds of not thousands of hours to get one book out, for a reader to consume in hours. Having a bit of understanding & respect of that is important.

I have seen fans for other authors who really act in a demeaning entitled approach toward an author (GIVE ME BOOK NOW, or ELSE *******).

I believe 6-12 months interval from you Michael is totally generous. Do what you do best, putting forth your 'best' product, so when we get to enjoy your books, I know I'm reading the 'best' you can come up with, and I expect nothing less!

Personally, I already resigned myself to wait a decade for some of my favorite authors...(Michael is one of them) the way to deal with it, just read more books XD find other awesome authors :)

Thanks Michael for the lengthy answer, it is good always to understand how things work in a publishing world.

Ayman Teaman p.s. to OP, did you know that Michael has a collection of short stories and behind the scene stuff? They are really good!! Just drop him an email and I'm sure he'll be more than happy to oblige to share with you for free.

N.E. White While I understand, as a reader, I am disappointed we'll have to wait so long. (insert tiny violin playing to go with my whine) :)

Ayman Teaman I know how you feel :(
I'd recommend you grab all there is to Michael. Did you read Hollow World?

It is one amazing book! You can check my review if you like, but it is really enjoyable.
