One of the was the term "tapping" as in tapping magic. The other one was "keeper", but I think that that might be a common term. I was just interested because I had just finish the Mistborn trilogy.
One standard definition of "Tap": to penetrate, open up, reach into, etc., for the purpose of using something or drawing something off; begin to use:
to tap one's resources.
Just a regular English word that is an obvious choice for describing the act of drawing upon a reservoir of power.
Ah...no I didn't get those terms from that. Tapping actually comes from my days in Vermont when we would make maple syrup...we do so by "tapping" trees in late winter. Basically you collect sap as it starts to flow as the days warm and then you boil it down and you have syrup.
Keeper - comes from "Trapper Keepers" a type of school supply that I'm not even sure if it exists anymore. It was a folder that had all kinds of pockets and items added in (and some even had zippers that allowed you to keep all your stuff in one place.
