OK im gonna say it.

the demon has to be gifted to them. so if the elves ran out of demons becasue of duelling, why didn't the human summoners, who literally all of them started of with demons from the elves gift some back. i know they did eventaully. (RIP sariel) but the GREAT ELVEN DEMON EXTINCTION happened like a thousnad years earlier
