Indy Still missing any info about releasing Captivated by You, any insight to help sustain your readers? Thks!

message 2: by Amy (new)

Amy Well there is only 5 months left in the 2014 calendar year. I thought both books were to come out by the end on 2014? Just hoping something comes soon!

message 3: by Loxi (new)

Loxi In an interview on you tub "Get Spellbound w/SD" you said the books would come out within weeks of each other and both would be out by the end of 2014??? Which explanation is correct? I am totally confused and disappointed.

message 4: by Megan - (new)

Megan - At one point Ms. Day also said Captivated by You was suppose to be released by Christmas 2013... maybe we'll get it Christmas 2014? But at this point even that is looking harder and harder to believe, especially once you factor in the time they'll allow for pre-orders, promotion, formatting, production etc. There is no way we'll be getting both books by the end of the year.

message 5: by Keitha (new)

Keitha I honestly feel you owe your readers a honest explanation. You write books and as readers we understand it's a process. There are hundreds of authors out there who are able to release books within months of each other and stick to a schedule. If they are unable to they are honest with their readers. I expressed my disappointment without any derogatory words on your Facebook page but was blocked soon after that. You are not being honest with your readers. If you are unaware of the date your books are being released you need a new publisher. You are not finished writing the books so just be honest and say due to your scheduling and other contracts that required a deadline you were unable to complete the Crossfire Series when expected. At least if you were honest with your fans they would respect you more. Don't blame your publishers like you have done in the past. There isn't anyone to blame but you.

message 6: by Christa (new)

Christa Three books is enough for me of the Crossfire series. I will not read the next two, but I have read your other books. And will continue, but the Crossfire is pretty much blah for me here on out

message 7: by Bernice (new)

Bernice Hudnall Wow, some of these comments are rude and unnecessary. I know that people are entitled to their own opinions but there is also a nice way to say how you feel. Me personally, I love the Crossfire series. It's one of my favorite and book 3 was the best book in the series for me. It made me fall in love with Gideon even more because the book was his story. I am so happy that there will be 2 more books because I want a complete story and there are still so many unanswered questions. I want to see Gideon living in his happily ever after and Eva become the person Gideon needs. I will gladly wait for each release because that is how much I love this series.

message 8: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle I'm curious to know the date this interview took place: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpPng...

message 9: by Sannewt (new)

Sannewt Ms. Day if this is the case, why then for the past few months have you stated that both books would be released in 2014 within weeks of each other? I sincerely don't understand. If its impossible to release the books close together then why would you tell readers something entirely different? I depend on your word Ms. Day. I am disappointed not so much with the delay of the release of the book, but by you. This information should be on sylviaday.com and pinned to your FB page. You have a certain obligation to take care of your readers and should be considerate and respectful. I want you to take your time and delivery the best books possible, but please be honest about delays.

message 10: by Emily (new)

Emily I think you should make this announcement clear by posting it on your social media accounts. Why did you tell us the books would be released within a few weeks of each orher so many times in the past few months with such certainty if this is the case? Did you just find out? And if CBY is finished why are the publishers holding on to it for so long? I think at this point readers just want CBY as soon as possible, never mind about releasing it closer to book 5. We also have not had an excerpt in 6 months and with us having to wait so long and the book having to come out in the next four months, I think it is time for one. I am not trying to be rude at all but I really do think you would benefit from these things.

message 11: by Helen (new)

Helen Is the publications being dragged out due to the adaptation for a tv series? You must have a rough idea when book 4 will be published. Hope we won't have to wait the same amount of time for book 5!

message 12: by LeeAnne (new)

LeeAnne I do not understand all the folks harassing Sylvia Day about the release of her books. Plenty of other authors release series books much slower. Yes, it is an excellent series but there is no need to harass the author.

message 13: by Octavia (new)

Octavia I think people have cause to ask questions of this author and release dates. Her last three books release dates were push back. I don't know many authors who's release dates you can't trust. One of the Crossfire books had had a release date pushed back three times. So yes folks have questions.

message 14: by Ashley (new)

Ashley It has been so long since the third book (which practically bored me to death) came out that I forgot that this is an ongoing series. This update on here just brought it back to my attention.... Not in good way. Something is not right here.

message 15: by hellloo_darling (new)

hellloo_darling This poor woman is gonna hate this series and these characters if we as a mass do not back off. As much as I wanna read the next book, I don't want her to write a shitty story b/c she's in a hurry to appease us or b/c she officially tired of hearing about it.

message 16: by Octavia (new)

Octavia In a hurry? No chance of that happening. The last bok in the Crossfire series was over a year ago. She is not rushing lol.

message 17: by Cherese (new)

Cherese McKinney Although I am missing my Gideon fix, I know when the books are released, it will be something great.

message 18: by Dana (new)

Dana Wilson It's been so long, I'm wondering Gideon who?

message 19: by Linda (new)

Linda I must admit that that is a lame answer to the question - other authors send out their books with help from their marketing team. I mean, look at fifty shades! All out at once and what a phenomenon - and baring in mind that the crossfire was only supposed to be a trilogy!!!!!!

message 20: by Sasha (new)

Sasha In my opinion, Sylvia, you should have ended the series in the 3rd one. People were expecting a trilogy but then you are dragging the series into 2 more books. I think you spread yourself too thin because you wanted more :(

message 21: by hellloo_darling (new)

hellloo_darling Or maybe the story was worth more..

message 22: by Tracy (new)

Tracy Grieve But in one statement she said book 4 was complete but she was holding off release until book 5 was complete but then a statement few weeks later ahw stated book 4 wasn't finished but when you went back to view these posts on Facebook they were removed, I will be a true fan and see this series through but I wont buy anymore if her books in a series is complete still waiting on the final books in the renegade angel series have given up on seeing these anytime soon.
Maybe as others say if you are honest with the fans we will understand but saying one thing and removing a status or quote just makes us more annoyed

message 23: by Sasha (new)

Sasha I believe that's the main issue with Sylvia Day. Her honesty with her fans. It's either there really is a finished book 4 or not. And the REAL release date of the last two books. It's not bashing her or anything but clarifying which is true with what she already said to fans.
