I was about to say...you must not be very far in. The strong female characters are one of the best parts of this series. I will agree though, Astrid's not the best.

diana is pretty strong. although also notice that all the idiots like zil caine and drake are male...

yeah dude I was gonna say: Lana, Breeze, Dekka, Astrid (more so after book 4), and even though they aren't really kick-arse Mary and Dahra are definitely strong characters

I love how Diana is strong in a way that makes so many other female characters weak.
