Nicky Grant Hi Roni!

Thank you so very much for your response. I apologize for not seeing it sooner. Knee deep in novel-ing. Is that a word? :)

Your advice and words are wonderful and grounding at the same time. One thing I know is a reputable editor was/is key for me. Probably where I am spending the most of my dollars. It was too important to settle for someone that did not have my genre experience and years of experience. I actually found her information in the 'thank you' section of a well known author that is in my genre as well. :) She connected with me on a deeper level that I knew she would understand my vision, which was important for me.

To your advice - I have joined a local RWA chapter and loving every moment of it! I have had another author critique certain chapters for me as well.

It is hard to gauge "Is this really good?" or "Will this make or break me as a writer if not good enough." when you are so close to your manuscript. All things that scare the heck out of me, but in good ways.

Long response short - Thank you for this and thank you for continuing to support the community and writing fun, interesting and steamy prose! You most certainly were my initial inspration to write my story.

Much love,
NFG
