I discovered Vera's Qualify and Compete because they were recommended by another reader when I asked exactly that same question elsewhere on Goodreads
If you love dystopian novels - please allow me to introduce you to the 'E' Series by Kate Wrath. (E, Evolution, Eden etc)
These Kate Wrath books are also wonderfully written in the first person as is Qualify/Compete - and I'm sure you will find the world of Lily and Jason just as as easy to get lost in as Gwen's Atlantia
BTW - E is currently offered free as a Kindle edition on Amazon
