Joannah If not through the books, how often do you visit the characters?

As a reader, I spend hours with these characters, but it's only on the terms that you create. When I have breakfast and remember, 'you, you, CEREAL KILLER!' and crack up, if I want to revisit the characters, I can only do it through the scenes that you created and decided to share.

I kinda imagined that characters live on in authors the way loved ones do - that you can imagine how they would respond to life's events. Characters are not truly gone when the story completes..so you don't have to rely on the books to visit these old friends.

Instead... while we may pick up an umbrella and imagining leading a charge a la Lady Emma, is that now ancient history to you? Has she graduated into a dangerously large bag and when you want to re-visit her you only have to enter Costco with gusto?
