Well, Goodreads wasn't specific when they referred to "couple", so I guess Holmes and Watson count! Have you seen 'Mr. Holmes' with Ian McKellen? If not, I highly recommend it.

I think that you will enjoy 'Mr. Holmes'. Quite a different take on the Holmes story, despite all of the knock-offs that permeate TV and film. My favourite fictional couple is Georges de Sarre and Alexandre Motier
