Helen I really don't notice that much swearing in. Your books!

message 2: by Ange (new)

Ange If it gets the feeling across and makes the scene, swear it up. Your books are awesome so do not change a thing :)

message 3: by Karen (new)

Karen I love curse words! Woot! Ok, I may not be beloved on good reads but whatever.

message 4: by Leah (new)

Leah I love books! F words and all!

message 5: by Karen (new)

Karen Honestly, either read the book from the author's own perspective/mind-set or don't. But don't complain about it afterwards. I'm not the anti-Christ but I really don't believe curse words hold any value unless you allow them to. They aren't going anywhere so either deal with it and accept that or try to have every one around you bury their head in the sand but don't expect the author to,

Karen Sadly, im not going to read books where authors pull their punches or curb their language for a small group of readers. Perhaps you should research your various options. In that case, you will be missing out on fabulous authors like rl matthewson.

Never Stop Reading or Dreaming I love you books and you wrote them the way your creative artist wanted them to be written. If someone doesn't like the F word then they shouldn't read it. It's plan and simple. They aren't being forced to read the book.

Mica I love your books. I've never noticed a lot of cursing in any of your series'. I think your style is the perfect mix. Honestly I think it's unfair to ask you to change your writing style just because someone doesn't like it. There will always be someone that doesn't like. The critics should stay in their land. Now I feel bad for bugging you about the NFH series and the Pyte/Sentinel series constantly. Sigh. I'll do better.

Wendy Tameka - you cannot sell the cow and drink the milk. If these books offend your christian faith, you have to choose another author. Sex and cursing are part of the fun. If Ms Mathewson changes her way of writing it would be another story.

message 10: by Jenny (new)

Jenny Murillo I agree with all the ladies above. You cannot ask a writer to change because something offends you. It is their writing style and everyone loves her style just the way it is.

message 11: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Treamer Sorry to say, but I am in wholehearted agreement with the other ladies responding on this as well. Ms. Mathewson's books do not have much by way of what would be considered "Naughty Language". If this offends your delicate sensibilities, then you really need to find something else to read. It is EXTREMELY rude to ask an author to change their writing style to suit your personal preferences. And no offense, how big is ego that you really think they are going to accommodate. To Ms. Mathewson, please keep on writing the way you want, because you have a definite following and tons of fans who love you as you are!

Daniela I don't understand, reading a detailed description about two people fucking each other senseless, it's ok, but reading "fuck" is wrong!?!?
