Kirsten McKenzie My daughter's school librarian has just recommended she reads Agatha Christie. Clean murders, no sex, good for a ten year old reading at a 16 year old level - its hard to find appropriate material!

Helen Simonson Dear Kirsten. Agatha Christie is great. Also Sherlock Holmes of course. By the time she's twelve I'd say let her read anything in the public library -librarians don't buy smut and there is more sex and dirt on your average prime time tv show than in most books. Just a thought!!

Kirsten McKenzie Thanks for that. Goes to show, again, why librarians are so important. x

MD Josephine Tey...I was reading her forty-odd years ago when I was ten. 😊
