Antonella In fact I was surprised at the confusion by some English native speakers about the pronouns for Hero. Is this use of pronouns common knowledge only in the LGBT community or among LGBT friendly people?

Teal Here in the US, this use of "they" is extremely UNcommon knowledge. From what Mymymble says, it sounds like the UK is a wee bit more advanced in this regard.

George The biggest clue was "themself" in River, which some fool edited into "themselves" in Taste of Marrow.

Mina it is baffling to me when US people are confused by this, the usage of they both in plural and singular form is one of the first things you are taught in europe as a second language learner
