Paul Interesting. I don't know much about Simon bar Kochba. I'll have to do some research! As an Englishman, I have a soft spot for Hadrian for building a wall to keep out the Scots, so it would be hard for me to look favorably on his enemies.

I have a copy of A Year of Ravens but haven't read it yet. I'm sure it will be great if it's anything like A Day of Fire.

Kate Quinn I had to take the side against Simon bar Kokhba in "Lady of the Eternal City." But researching his rebellion gave me a deep respect for his aims, and for just how well he fought against overwhelming odds. I hated having to follow history and write about his rebellion's demise, even if I was technically on Hadrian's side as the author!

Jodi I loved Pauline Gedge's Eagle and the Raven. Sounds like I need to add A Year of Ravens to my to-read pile. I'm always interested in checking out stories about Boudicca.
