Ryan Gage I very much enjoyed the rest of the story, thanks! I'm already anxious to read Bloody Rose. If you wouldn't mind answering one more question-will the "cryptic" nature of Ganelon's request to the keepers be explained in the subsequent books? I know some things are best left to the imagination, especially in literature, but I'm curious about what happens between Ganelon and Larkspur that leads him back to the quarry. Thank you for this awesome book, and for your time!

Nicholas Eames Heya! Thanks again for reading it, Ryan! Basically, although Ganelon and Larkspur have sexual chemistry, neither are suited for long-term relationships. She because she's been burned too many times, him because he fears what he'll become if he he loses someone close to him again, etc. So them staying together was never on the table. They're no bad blood between them at all! Ganelon, in the end, realizes that although they've just saved the world, they may have unleashed (via Lastleaf using Tamarat to kill himself) an even worse horror on the world. Since he doesn't fancy settling down in a time of peace and wants to face this new threat in his prime, he returns to the only place he knows can make that happen. Both he, Larkspur, and their son will be in future books! (but not really the second, except for one very brief cameo). Hope that helps!
