Shane Castle I suspect LMB of having spent some time in the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland, and even in the quaintly medieval town of Gruyères. So much cheese... :-)

Setanya Koltovsky Oh, I'm glad to know the actual source and process, far divergent from one who marvels at the capacity to write even one novel.

My association wasn't literal - upon first reading in "Penric's Demon," instantly my thought train had gone from Wisconsin being known for cheese to Green Bay and that both a bay and a well hold water.

:) Gruyère cheese. Thanks for the picture of Gruyères.
