A Mark, thanks for the honest answer. My father passed away after a long battle with a bone marrow cancer. I think you did a great service by creating a character that demonstrates the hardships that family members of people who have these diseases face.

Mark Henshaw I think that no one understands the hardships of fighting cancer until they've gone through them. Having done so, you and your family have my deepest sympathies. I understand, and I hope that no other member of your family will ever have to face it again.

Charles I , too, picked up on that in the acknowledgements, and I'm glad the question was asked. I can say that the personal emotion definitely translated into the text of the book, making a great story realistic. I am also happy to learn your son has survived AML. As a father of three boys, I cannot fathom what that was like for you. God bless you, Mr. Henshaw.
