Oh, if you're into the Great Courses, I highly recommend The Story of Human Language by John McWhorter. He's a great speaker, and very knowledgeable. The course is about language development, and is great for SFF writers who want to create languages with depth and realistic change over time. Aside from the fact that it's just a great watch/listen. :)
None of us are getting any younger but it sure beats the alternative! Amongst the blessings of getting older, a new book by a favourite author is that most marvelous of things - a good friend you haven't met before - and all the better for being unexpected. If inspiration doesn't strike, then there are plenty of old friends to spend some more time with. Thank you for all of them Lois.
