I'm so sorry! I didn't know that it would be harmful to you :( It feels bad to hold onto it now. Would it be negative to your sales if I returned the book and bought it again in March? (and also chewed out B&N for shelving it a month early?)

I fear that this might be an error on B&N's part (my original release date was the first week of March but was moved to March 20, and they tend to stock their shelves the week before release). Letting them know that there's been a mistake would be more than enough if you're able to, for which I can't thank you enough for! :)
(I'm going to try contacting my publisher and B&N as well, to figure out what happened!)
No, don't apologize! You didn't tell me to, it just feels better to know which you would prefer and feel comfortable with. But I will definitely keep it if that's what's best for you!! :)
I'm going to head to B&N to see if it's still on the shelves, and I'll ask them to take them down until March 20th if they're still there. I hope all of this gets resolved and doesn't hurt your sales or publishing!
I literally carried all the copies my B&N had on the shelf up to customer service and told/showed them that it's not meant to be on shelves yet. They said they'd check into it. You're wonderful and I love your writing and don't want anything to keep your publisher from releasing many more <3
