I actually starter with age of myth, then i went over to the chronicles, and then to revelations. No regrets from me! It was nice to start with some shorter stories to get addicted. I do wish i could try to go back in time and try the other way around and compare it. I get the feeling you might see the bigger picture by reading the revelations first.
I went in chronological order myself, starting with The Crown Tower. Haven't done Age of Myth, savoring that book on my shelf for a future date, and personally I think chronological order was an amazing reading experience. It was really fun to see all the little hints that were dropped in chronicles pop up through out revelations. This came to fruition in the final chapters of Revelations when some guys popped up who made an appearance in The Crown Tower and it all felt like it came full circle (several other reasons it felt that way, that was just a specific moment that sealed it all for me). For me it was just better getting to know the two of them and all their aquantiances throughout chronicales as they are in Revelations, but not nearly as much, so it was really nice having that background to think about whenever a scene brought Hadrian and Royce together with one of those side characters. I would highly recommend going to Rose and Thorn next!!
